It's been a busy first year for David Rebein since his appointment last September to the Kansas Supreme Court's nominating commission. Rebein is one of nine members, who as an attorney was elected by nearly 1,000 attorneys in Kansas's First Congressional District. He is the only attorney representing western Kansas. Commission members have presented the Governor with candidates for eight high-level vacancies over the last 12 months, including the unprecedented appointment of four new justices to the Kansas Supreme Court. "It is an honor to be involved in the selection process of four new Kansas Supreme Court Justices and four new Court of Appeals judges," Rebein said.
